Hot gas de-heating

Heat exchangers for hot gas de-heating or cooling are often used as a part of a heat recovery.
Depending on the temperature of the hot gas, fin tube systems or combined systems with bare and fin tubes are used.

If using fin tubes only, it is absolutely necessary to choose tubes that will not be affected by the hot gas parameters, and will not be dismantled from the core tube during the process. This is why it can be advisable to introduce a combined system, consisting of two cooling stages. During the first part of the cooling system, bare tubes are used to cool down the hot gas to a temperature which is uncritical for the fins. In the second stage, fin tubes secure the cooling down of the medium to the final temperature.
